When I came to check on the cows on March 2nd, I saw a black lump in the field. It turned out to be a calf. I couldn’t tell who the mama was, because he was so far from the cows, but I was able to tag him as #44.
I then decided he needed to go to his mama. What ensued was a wrestling match! At first he went further away from the cows, but then I was able to get a harness on him. He resisted every step, and eventually, I decided to put him in the side-by-side and drive him back to the cows. #4, whose tag tore out of her ear, was the mama, and a reunion of sorts commenced.
