Monday 5/12
More details on the hoof issues I found.
Tuesday 5/13
I’m trying a thinner row this time – 80′ wide.
Some notes on “screwworm”.
Wednesday 5/14
It’s supposed to be 98 F today.
Ryegrass seedheads are starting to yellow. It did not get much over 90 F.
Thursday 5/15
A lot of sheep broke out.
Just a few sheep broke out this time.
Friday 5/16
Another 80′ row. I had good success with the last row I think.
Saturday 5/17
I’m seeing tons of bermudagrass in the pen. I think I will be fine this year transitioning into summer.
I got two new rams from my neighbor. One was a lot bigger than I expected.
Also I talk about a different perspective Greg Judy and Ian Mitchell Innes have about grazing. They are targeting grass and trying to give it ideal conditions, while the total grazing people are trying to control everything with aggressive grazing.
The sheep broke out again.
More thoughts on grazing grass vs. total grazing.
Sunday 5/18
No video. One of the cows had a lot of bloody discharge out of her rear. I fear it might be a miscarriage.
